The Door is Closing on Deals
After being in multiple contract situations week after week since the beginning of the year I feel like the door is closing on great deals on homes in the close in suburbs of Northern Virginia. I have not written an offer on a single property inside the beltway in weeks that was not one of three to six contract. Even in Loudoun where properties are priced to sell they are moving.
This property was listed at $345,000 and we offered $300k and told the agent for the foreclosure that this was all that my client could afford. After a couple of days Freddie Mac accepted our offer. The property had been on the market for over 180 days. The property is in the prime Fair Lakes location and I was able to rent it within one week for the cost of the mortgage and condo fees. Great for my clients who plan on holding onto it for 10 years as an investment property.
