Link to Foreclosure Sale Dates & Properties in Virginia

Below is a link to one of the many law firms that handles foreclosure sales in Virginia.  If you click the link you can look at properties that will go to auction by county in Virginia.  It will give you the date and time of the sale.  Generally the sales are at the courthouse for that county but you may want to call the law firm for confirmation.  The sale can be cancelled up to the date of the sale which happens regularly.

For most sales you bring a cashier's check made out to yourself for a minimum deposit which the trustee should be able to tell you prior to the sale.  Sometimes it is an arbitrary number and sometimes it can be 10% of the loan amount or sales price.  If you win the auction you endorse the check over to the trustee.  If not the check is made out to you so that you can re-deposit the funds into your account.  If you win you generally have 15 days to deliver the rest of the funds to the trustee.  This date generally is not negotiable and you will lose your deposit if you can't deliver the funds.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at kim@kimdarwaza.com.  I have the ability to search the foreclosure database if there is a specific property that you are looking for.
