JK Moving & Storage Takes Center Ice In Partnership with Washington Capitals Washington, D.C. - October 8, 2009 - As the Washington Capitals begin their quest for the 2009-10 Stanley Cup, they'll have a new teammate in place to provide the ideal storage facility for that ultimate prize. That partner is Sterling-based, JK Moving & Storage who, earlier this month, agreed to terms with the NHL team to achieve the designation as "the Official Moving Company of the Washington Capitals." A Washington-area institution for more than 30 years, JK Moving & Storage brings with it a history and tradition of excellence as the largest independent moving company in the Washington metropolitan area. "We welcome JK Moving and Storage to our Caps Sponsor family," said John Greeley, Capitals' Vice President of Corporate Sponsorships. "JK has already helped us out on a few moves and with some of our charitable efforts. They have been a pillar in the DC community and have a top notch facility. We are excited to have them on board." Under the terms of the agreement, JK Moving & Storage will provide moving and storage services to the team, which can mean transporting the personal possessions of players acquired through trade or assignment to and from the team's minor league affiliate in Hershey. The Capitals and JK Moving & Storage will also participate jointly in a variety of cross-promotional events and engagements. "Partnering with the Capitals fits perfectly with our own marketing objectives," said JK president and Washington native Chuck Kuhn who also praised JK marketing representatives Clarke Mahek and Brian McGuinness for initiating the deal. "Not only are the Caps successful on and off the ice, but their business philosophy is very much in-line with ours. They typically engage in activities that are fun, creative and socially rewarding." But Kuhn has another objective on the horizon.
