Shoes to Wear When Seeing Property...
As most of you all know I love fashion and will find any excuse to some how get it on my blog and make it real estate related. One problem many of my clients encounter is wearing inappropriate shoes when seeing property during the winter. It seems like such an easy thing but a lot of times clients make the wrong choices. With the snowy/icy weather that we have had which can lead to a lot of soggy yards I thought I would help everyone out with what to wear. Keep in mind that not everyone clears their sidewalks and stairs so shoes that you can walk around in snow or ice are important. I know that on a cold wintery day you want to wear these Sorel Boots which I love and was dying over and just had to get at Nordstrom:

I realize that I don't look like Elle McPherson in them but at least I know that I have good taste.
Or my Super Chic Clients would show up wearing the Tommy Hilfiger High Heel Duck Boots:

Now the problem is when you get hit with one of these:

It is a royal pain to tie and untie shoes so I always tell men to wear some kind of slipons. Some cold weather options that I always wear are:
My Tory Burch Duck Boots which I have in Red. These are great for the rain.

My Black Hunter Boots which I wear all of the time and have even worn them with dresses. One time I wore them with leggings and a sweater dress and one of my older clients said, "Only you can make Rain Boots Look Sexy". I just think these look good on everyone.

When it is super cold I put my fleece liners in them to make them warmer. I plan to upgrade to the Jimmy Choo Hunter Boots next year because cost per wear they are definitely worth the money for me.

Finally, there is always the classic Ugg Boots which work well. If there is any precipitation or if the ground is wet I wouldn't wear them because they will get ruined.

I will say one of my biggest pet peeves is when people ask you to remove your shoes and their carpets are filthy and nasty. It is surprising how many people ask you to remove your shoes and have filthy carpeting so I always think wearing socks is a good idea. I know a lot of people don't wear socks with their uggs because you aren't supposed to. Generally the sellers with the filthy carpets and take your shoes off signs are home 99% of the time when you are showing their house so you can't even ignore the sign.
